Beckington Pre-School is a community Pre-School operating as a registered charity. We are run by a committee made up of volunteer parents/carers of Pre-School children and staff members. We hold monthly meetings at which discussions are held and decisions made about running our Pre-School. We also organise fundraising events through the year to raise additional money for books, equipment and toys.
Our Team
The Pre-School staff and Committee are in touch with new thinking in the field of child education and care through on-going training and literature. Somerset Early Years Department also provides up-to-date training, which the staff attend as part of their Staff Development Programme. All staff hold up to date first aid training.

All our permanent staff are Pre-School Learning Alliance (PLA) trained and there is at least one member of staff per session with a current First Aid Certificate .
Pre-School Committee
Our committee is made up of volunteer parents/carers of Pre-School children and staff members. Joining the committee is a great way to meet other parents and support the ongoing development of the Pre-School. We hold monthly meetings at which decisions are made about running our Pre-School. If you are interested in joining the committee please talk to a member of staff.
